The city of Chandigarh is full of life, joy, and serenity. A ‘love at first sight’ place, Chandigarh has all that humans of this century need in their life. Le Corbusier will always be remembered for making this city the first well-planned city of India. It is the epitome of love for Chandigarh that has made this city the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana. Chandigarh is the blend of tradition along with urbanization.

Serene Beauty takes away all
Nature itself leaps over this city and boast about its beauty. Each block of a Sector has its own garden bustling with the residents of Chandigarh. The beauty of this city touches our heart when you take a drive through the canopy of trees covering you. If you cherish arts the Rock Garden has sculptures made from urban and industrial waste. This garden is the real showcase to teach us that an intense desire and diligence can bring unexpected results.
If you love roses then you’ll be amazed to visit the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden in Sector 16 spread across the lush green landscape of 30 acres. This garden hosts 1600 different types of roses. The city hosts Rose Festival that attracts thousands of tourists from all around the world. If you’re on the Chandigarh-Patiala road then a Zoo is calling you. A home to more than 100 species of animals, reptiles, and birds are calling you.
Here you can Live life to the full
Happiness is all you can get when you visit Sector 17 of Chandigarh. Clear skies and vehicles booming by with trees all around is a fantastic experience. The night life of Chandigarh calls many to get out their home and enjoy all that is to offer. Lip smacking chole-bhature, jalebis and the swaying aromas of tandoor is what life at the Sector 14 of Chandigarh means. You can spend a day at one of the biggest amusement parks with water rides to enjoy. I had a boring day and thought to get out in the evening when I experienced the pleasure at Sector 8,9,10 the Gerhi route. You could actually see a clear sky with the heavens opened above. I love being in a theatre and watching plays. Sector 18 fulfilled my dream, the Tagore Theatre sufficing all the desires of my soul.
That is why BBC termed this city as the perfect city in the world. I call myself a shopaholic and the Elante mall at Sector 17 satisfies me with the best things to have. If you’re a bargainer and satisfy only when you get something awesome at a cheap rate then the ‘rehri markets’ at Sector 22 has the lowest price deals. The city is kept secured with police vans patrolling night and day. This is why Chandigarh is the cleanest and the happiest city of India.
Flourishing Destination for education
Chandigarh has a heritage of prestigious educational institutions. Students can live as a PG at 5,000-10,000 per month and that too including food. This is not possible in Delhi. The city is also famous for its Youth and Heritage Festival that spreads a wave of happiness among the youth. One of such famous college in Chandigarh is the DAV College which is famous for its historical heritage. PGI and GMCS are the preferred hospitals in Chandigarh. Apart from these many other private hospital chains provide the best treatment to its citizens.
My experience with the “Chandigarhians”
My interaction with the people out there and how I lived is unforgettable. The Chandigarhians love two things very much first is their bullet which they call “bullt” and the other is their food. You’ll see girls riding over their ‘kineys’ a nickname to kinetics. I’ve never received such a loving hospitality in any other homes of India. If you’re dining at someone’s place and you’re served with a lot of ‘ghee’ then don’t intimidate. Take this as an expression of love from the family you visited. The city has one of the most strict traffic personnel fining you for over speeding your vehicle. I guess that the riders must have set aside a special budget for modifying their cars. People here love cleanliness and that is seen from maintenance of this prestigious city.People love cleanliness and that is seen from maintenance of this prestigious city.
